Seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as a Specimen Collector. As a key member of our pathology services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced specimen collector with a strong background in venepuncture and specimen collection. Your primary duties will include collecting blood and other specimens from patients, performing ECG's and Holter monitoring, and processing pathology specimens.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collect blood and other specimens from patients using venepuncture techniques.
  2. Perform ECG's and Holter monitoring on patients as required.
  3. Process pathology specimens according to established protocols.
  4. Maintain accurate records of specimen collections and patient information.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Pathology Collection or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in venepuncture and specimen collection.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
