As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on patients' lives by collecting blood and other specimens for diagnostic testing.

Our laboratory is seeking an experienced Pathology Collector to join our Castlemaine collection centre.

Your primary duties will include taking blood and other specimens from patients, including performing ECGs and Holter monitoring.

You will also be responsible for processing pathology specimens and performing venepuncture using the vacutainer method.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in venepuncture and collection of blood and other samples from patients
  • Able to work independently and participate in a weekend roster at any of our collection centres
  • Basic computer skills and ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Clerical duties and processing paperwork

A current driver's license and own car are preferred. Effective communication with the team, referring doctors and patients is essential.

This role requires dedication to patient care and service delivery, as well as organisation and problem-solving skills.
