Facilities Attendant

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a facilities attendant. As part of our cleaning services, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of our premises remain clean, safe, and hygienic.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, vacuum clean and mop floors as required; and utilise safety signage to alert students and staff
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces regularly, and clean door handles on a routine basis
  • Clean all accessible classroom and office equipment and fittings
  • Empty indoor rubbish bins
  • Clean bathroom facilities, including showers, toilets, and sinks
  • Assist with cleaning and notify supervisors of any required repairs due to student accidents, extreme weather, or acts of vandalism
  • Isolate malfunctioning equipment and report incidents using school procedures
  • Follow chemical usage and storage procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will require satisfactory registrations relevant to child safety
  • Commitment to Reconciliation by encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply
