Ensuring the health, safety, and environmental performance of projects is a critical aspect of our operations. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a crucial role in driving this initiative forward.

The Project HSEQ Advisor will be responsible for modeling positive health and safety practices as a core value and providing timely advice to front-line managers to ensure compliance with our safety plans and procedures. This includes evaluating and implementing safeworking plans in accordance with Network Rules and NO-WI-02-010.

Additionally, the successful candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and Australian standards by adhering to our policies and procedures. This involves managing the compliance of RIW requirements for staff on site and maintaining accurate records.

Effective communication is key in this role. You will be required to distribute safety alerts, circulars, and updates to relevant personnel and participate in weekly team meetings to identify WHS and rehabilitation issues.

To succeed in this position, you will need to have Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or willingness to achieve this certification. Safely Access the Rail Corridor and Advanced First Aid certification are also desirable. Internal Auditor Qualification and PO1 or PO2 certification are also beneficial.

We are seeking an individual who has proven experience in providing project-based safe systems of work and can oversee safety management across multiple projects, people, and programs. Experience in developing and maintaining an accredited HSEQ System is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products is also necessary.
