About This Opportunity

Circular Plastics Australia is a pioneering partnership dedicated to providing sustainable packaging solutions. By combining unique skills and complementary expertise, we have created scaled end-to-end solutions to accelerate a local circular economy.

As an Extrusion Operator at our Greenfields rHDPE/PP recycling facility, you will work in a 24/5 (later 24/7) operation. You will be trained efficiently in areas such as Quality and WHSE and will be accountable for following work instructions in each area.

You will play a key role in delivering a Continuous Improvement mindset and initiatives to process up to 25,000 tonnes of baled post-consumer HDPE/PP per annum for conversion into food grade rHDPE resin.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with WHSE procedures and directions and follow reasonable instructions, always working towards Goal Zero.
  • Undertake duties safely and contribute to the safety of others through involvement in BOP's, Risk Assessments, and Incident Reporting.
  • Provide relevant licences and permits to supervisor where required.
  • Contribute to product quality through inspection and testing where specified on Operators Instruction sheets.
  • Advise Supervisors or Technicians promptly of WHSE, Quality, Maintenance or People issues.
  • Work effectively to ensure quality products are produced in a timely manner and in a cost-effective way.
  • Housekeeping of workstations during shift, with a final clean up at the end of the shift.
About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • A background in extrusion, blow/injection moulding or thermoforming within plastics manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to adjust, calibrate, and test equipment at the beginning of every shift.
  • An ability to learn new processes quickly and troubleshoot issues whilst maintaining quality standards.
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely, effectively and productively.
  • A positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
  • Superior communication skills and a team player, able to communicate and connect across all levels at Site.

We estimate the salary for this position to be approximately $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
