We are seeking an entry-level Water Resource Designer to support our team. The position offers the opportunity to be part of our Water Resources Practice that provides integrated professional water resources services.
Key Responsibilities- Plan projects using survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data.
- Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools.
- Perform engineering computations related to site hydrology and hydraulics, earthwork, stormwater BMPs, and natural channel design structural components.
- Assist with the preparation of design engineering plans and specifications for approval by municipalities and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, a strong understanding of basic stormwater and drainage concepts, and experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD drafting software. They will also be highly organized, capable of coordinating and performing multiple tasks, and possess a strong ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Requirements- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
