Senior Stormwater Project Manager Position

This is a senior-level project management role in stormwater engineering, located in Charlotte. The successful candidate will have 7+ years of experience in stormwater engineering and team management.

  • We are looking for a self-motivated and team-oriented individual with excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, as well as a Professional Engineer License.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting workload and addressing gaps or excessive workloads
  • Managing projects, overseeing tasks, and engaging in design
  • Scheduling and leading project meetings
  • Representing the company in client communications and marketing activities
  • Preparing agreements, communicating to project team members, and ensuring financial performance
  • Communicating regularly with supervisors on significant challenges or deviations from procedures and metrics
  • Oversight and approval of design, construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates
  • Providing quality control/quality assurance consistent with company and department standards
  • Leading and/or participating in mentoring, career path planning, and development
  • Fostering a positive environment through regular team meetings, team building efforts, and community involvement
  • Cultivating existing relationships through periodic client meetings, proposal development, and feedback

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of stormwater engineering/industry experience with demonstrated team management experience
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership and project management skills as well as excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of contracts, accounting principles, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Execute multiple tasks under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of fostering existing client relationships
  • Demonstrate personal investment in your career
