Home Care Worker Role in North Sydney

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Home Care Worker in the North Sydney area. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly clients, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Your Day Will Include:

  • Domestic Assistance: Cleaning homes to ensure they remain safe and beautiful spaces for our elderly clients to live in.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping, helping our clients maintain their independence.
  • Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities, enhancing our clients' quality of life.
  • Personal care, including getting clients up, showered, and dressed for the day, managing medications, assisting with mobility, and therapy goals.
  • Offering respite and emotional support to our clients and their families.
  • Transporting clients to appointments and providing complex care for those with high care needs, such as dementia.

What We Look For:

  • 6 months or more experience in a similar role, including personal care skills.
  • Care and compassion for our elderly community, with a focus on assisting them to live independently at home for longer.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, as travel is an essential part of this role.
  • The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, prioritizing client needs above all else.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, without night or weekend shifts.
  • Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to seek support from your Manager.
