About the Opportunity

Cumberland Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Children and Youth Development team as a School Based Trainee. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in community services while completing a Certificate III in Community Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work part-time, one day per week (8 hours per day), in our Children and Youth Development team
  • Assist in the delivery of community programs and services
  • Develop skills in community engagement, youth work, and community development
  • Attend TAFE or a Registered Training Organisation to complete a Certificate III in Community Services
Requirements
  • Entering Year 11 in 2025
  • Aged 16 years or older by the start of February 2025
  • Willingness to learn and undertake on-the-job training
  • Ability to work within a team environment
What We Offer
  • Competitive trainee pay scale of the Cumberland Salary Structure starting from $20.68 per hour, plus 11.5% superannuation
