Job Title: Child Life Specialist
At our healthcare organization, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Life Specialist to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pediatric patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Program Development: Design, coordinate, and implement programs that support the emotional, social, and physical needs of children and their families in a hospital setting.
- Patient-Centered Care: Deliver high-quality care that is consistent with our organization's vision and values, promoting a safe work environment and adhering to Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and services to pediatric patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Child Development, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Completion of a 480-hour internship under a Certified Child Life Specialist.
- Child Life certification or eligibility within one year of hire.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with children in healthcare settings.
- Leadership experience is an asset.
