Technical Lead Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to drive process improvement initiatives and lead modelling and simulation activities across all planning horizons.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgical and process engineering, with excellent leadership and analytical problem-solving skills.

This role requires close collaboration with site operations, maintenance, process control, shutdown and planning teams, as well as project execution groups and external contractors.

Main Responsibilities
  • Identify and deliver solutions to operational challenges relating to safety, process performance, yield and plant upgrades.
  • Engage stakeholders across the business to understand operational needs and deliver outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with Management of Change processes.
  • Ensure correct application of Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Support metallurgical operations and project delivery through process simulation activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the minerals processing industry with direct operational and technical development exposure.
  • At least 2 years' process engineering experience on major mineral processing projects, including materials handling, crushing, screening and wet beneficiation.
  • Demonstrated experience in plant operation, optimisation and process improvement.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and analytical problem-solving skills with a practical focus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
