About The OpportunityAs part of a multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive medical imaging services at an advanced practice level.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient safety and quality of care.
- Practice in accordance with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia's Code of Conduct, Registration Standards, and EMHS policies and guidelines.
- Contribute to a 24/7 imaging service supporting high-quality patient outcomes.
You are a qualified and experienced Medical Imaging Technologist who:
- Is eligible for registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia and licensing with the Radiological Council of WA.
- Demonstrates strong clinical expertise in radiographic techniques and imaging principles.
- Adapts confidently to non-routine and complex clinical situations.
- Has proven leadership in planning, coordinating, and evaluating medical imaging services.
- Manages caseloads effectively in fast-paced environments with excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person.
- Builds positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Applies legislative and policy frameworks supporting equity, disability access, and occupational safety and health in everyday practice.
Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) is Perth's inner city, tertiary adult hospital and part of the Royal Perth Bentley Group (RPBG). It is home to the State Major Adult Trauma Service, offering tertiary-level emergency medicine, mental health, complex and elective surgical care, and specialist medical services. It is also a premier teaching hospital contributing to innovation and excellence in medical research and patient care.
RPH Radiology Department is the largest and longest established tertiary public hospital Radiology department in Perth. It is linked with other tertiary hospitals via a sophisticated archiving and communications system with full digital picture capacity. The service is divided into sub-specialised teams based on general and neurological intervention, ultrasound, abdominal and body, musculoskeletal, women's imaging and neuroradiology. A 24-hour inpatient / Emergency Department service is also provided. Imaging studies undertaken at RPH include Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound, X-Ray, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography and Interventional Procedures.

This is a Recruitment for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time. Fixed Term appointments may be extended or converted to permanency.
This recruitment pool will be open for 3 weeks. The panel will monitor applications and assess on a regular basis. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool and appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur within any EMHS facility. Appointments may be made from this pool 31/03/2027.
