Senior Mental Health Clinician Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our team. The successful candidate will work with children and adolescents (0 to 18 years), applying their in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialized knowledge.

  • The Senior Mental Health Clinician will plan, coordinate, and implement evidence-based, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate assessment and treatment.
  • They will provide clinical oversight to the clinicians within the CAMHS team.

Key Requirements:

  • Candidates must have Occupational Therapy Level 3 Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist and a minimum of 3 years' clinical experience or postgraduate qualification in CAMHS.
  • Alternatively, candidates may hold Social Work Level 3 qualifications, including a Bachelor of Social Work degree and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers, along with a minimum of 3 years' clinical experience or postgraduate qualification in CAMHS.
  • Graduates of the Djirruwang Bachelor of Health Science program who possess a minimum of 3 years' clinical experience or postgraduate qualification in CAMHS are also encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates with Psychology Registration with AHPRA, full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, and a minimum of 4 years' clinical experience are highly sought after.
  • Finally, Clinical Nurse Consultants with Registered Nursing status and a minimum of 5 years' full-time equivalent post-registration clinical experience and relevant postgraduate qualifications are ideal candidates.
