Electrical Designer Position

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our team. As an Electrical Designer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality electrical and control system design drawings.

You will work collaboratively with stakeholders including clients, vendors, and project managers to ensure successful project outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed electrical and control system designs.
  • Provide technical support to electrical engineers.
  • Develop and manage standard designs and part libraries.
  • Conduct quality checks and implement quality procedures.
  • Perform site inspections to gather information and audit site layouts.
  • Prepare as-built documentation and handover materials.
About You

A certificate or diploma in Electrical Drafting or equivalent is required. Electrician's license is highly regarded. A current driver's license is essential.

You should have at least 8 years of relevant professional experience. Experience working with Australian Standards, local regulations, and client standards is preferred.

Advanced skills in AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel, and related software are necessary.

You must have experience working in an engineering consultancy or in a design role for a contractor or asset owner.

Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in developing standards, conceptual, and detailed design, and design management of Electrical infrastructure is required.
