About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Governance and Risk Management Professional to join our team at Leading Roles. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping our governance and risk management frameworks, driving transparency and accountability, and ensuring the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Governance and Risk Management Functions: Oversee the development and implementation of governance and risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide Strategic Advice: Offer expert guidance to senior leadership and stakeholders on governance and risk management matters, including risk assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
  • Manage Risk and Compliance: Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Manage a team of professionals responsible for governance, risk management, and compliance, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
  • Ensure Transparency and Accountability: Foster a culture of transparency and accountability within the organization, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to accurate and timely information about governance and risk management practices.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Possess a degree in a relevant field, such as law, governance, risk management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven Experience: Demonstrate a strong track record of experience in governance and risk management, with a proven ability to lead and manage high-performing teams.
  • Strategic Leadership: Possess excellent strategic leadership skills, with the ability to provide guidance and direction to senior stakeholders and teams.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and teams.
