About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an OT with The Benevolent Society, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from adults to children with physical or intellectual disabilities.

Our team provides comprehensive functional assessments, establishes goals for each client, and assists them in achieving these through therapy services, planning home modifications, and prescription of assistive technology.

You will be responsible for traveling to clients in pool cars to provide services in and around Albury, Lavington, Corowa, Wodonga, and everywhere in between.

We welcome applications from experienced OTs, those with less experience, and new graduates, as well as those with disability experience and without.

Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist with us, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive functional assessments to identify client needs and goals
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to achieve client goals
  • Providing guidance and support to clients and their families on home modifications and assistive technology
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and support

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Passion for supporting people with a disability to achieve their goals
  • Honesty and integrity, with a genuine respect for all people regardless of their disability, culture, age, gender, sexual orientation
  • Experience in applying evidence-based practice frameworks to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate clinical supports
  • Effective time management skills to meet client goals and performance expectations
  • Current driver's license (pool cars provided)
