The successful candidate will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality services that meet the unique needs and goals of our participants.

This is an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in making a positive impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardized evaluations. Develop tailored treatment plans based on findings to address specific participant needs.
  2. Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support participants in achieving their goals and improving overall well-being.
  3. Environmental Adaptations: Collaborate with participants and their families to identify and implement environmental adaptations that promote independence and accessibility.
  4. Assistive Technology Recommendations: Identify and recommend assistive technology solutions to help participants overcome functional limitations and improve daily living skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Registration: Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with participants, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Attitude and Approach: A proactive attitude, motivated by a desire to improve outcomes and adapt to new ideas, is crucial for success in this role.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Passion for Disability Sector: A genuine passion for working in the disability sector and commitment to delivering high-quality services that make a positive impact.
