Occupational Therapist Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives by assisting them in achieving their goals and regaining independence.

In this role, you will utilise your specialist knowledge and skills to assist individuals with workplace injuries or illnesses to return to meaningful engagement in occupations.

  • Assess and evaluate treatment and rehabilitation needs of workers who have been involved in a work-related or non-work-related injury or illness.
  • Support clients with chronic illness, injury, or disability to achieve independence and fulfill their goals.
  • Help clients identify future employment or training options by reviewing their transferable skills, qualifications, and interests.
  • Perform activities of daily living assessments and recommend assistive technology under various contracts.
  • Complete workplace modifications assessment under the National Panel of Assessors contract (requires minimum two years disability employment experience).
  • Administer standardised assessment tools.
  • Responsible for effective case management to plan, coordinate, and monitor client progress toward their return-to-work goal.
  • Engage with key stakeholders and build strong relationships to facilitate business objectives.
What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Professional registration with AHPRA.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check upon successful application.
