Job Title: Home Support Specialist

Our organization is seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to provide in-home assistance to individuals with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess manual handling experience and be committed to working 4 days per week. The role involves assisting participants with daily living skills, social activities, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Building rapport and collaborating effectively with staff, management, participants, their family, and friends to achieve a positive outcome.
  • Assisting participants in setting new goals and ambitions, and promoting empowerment to achieve their objectives.
  • Providing quality and professional support in line with participants' plans, needs, and wants.
  • Facilitating participants' access to social communities to engage with friends and social groups, promoting a healthier lifestyle.

Requirements:

  • Current driver's license and preferably own car to use on shifts.
  • Fully vaccinated for Covid-19.
  • Experience in home care and complex care (minimum 1 year).
  • Working with Children Check and First Aid Certification (preferred).
