About This Role

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Kindergarten Support Worker to join our school community. As a key member of our educational team, you will support the delivery of quality early learning by assisting with engaging activities and classroom preparation under the direction of the Principal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of play-based, inclusive, child-centred learning in line with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and Early Years Learning Framework alignment.
  • Assist teachers to plan, resource, and facilitate learning using Play My Way resources.
  • Interact with children to foster holistic development: identity, connectedness, wellbeing, active learning, communication, and smooth transitions.
  • Prepare and manage learning materials, supervise small-group activities, and aid with administrative tasks such as photocopying, roll-taking, and resource organisation.
  • Support positive behaviour management and inclusive classroom environments.
  • Engage respectfully with families and the community and maintain confidentiality and protocol in line with Education Queensland policies.
Requirements
  • Formal qualifications in education support (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Education Support), or currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Early Childhood, with recent experience in a Kindergarten classroom.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience planning, observing and reporting using the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline.
  • A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, adaptability, and a growth-focused mindset.
  • Respect for individual learning needs, community focus, and fostering child-centred partnerships.
