As a Risk Mitigation Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing technical accounting and audit issues, and reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards.
The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and addressing technical accounting and audit issues;
- Reviews of financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and preparation of reports and opinions to management;
- Performing reviews of audit work;
- Summarising the key areas of the engagement for the partner;
- Conducting various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit;
- Assisting with management and coordination of the audit team including training, mentoring and methodology compliance;
- Monitoring staffing requirements and future resource planning issues;
The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years' experience in audit, a Business/Commerce degree with Accounting Major and previous experience managing a team.
