We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lifestyle and Community Development Coordinator to lead our community initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the delivery of holistic leisure and lifestyle programs in our homes.

The Essence of the Role

You will manage a team of recreational activity officers responsible for promoting emotional and physical rehabilitation through person-first recreational activities that foster holistic wellbeing. Your duties will include:

  • Strategic planning and execution of recreational activities with excellent leadership skills
  • Providing high-quality care and actively supporting residents to maintain their skill levels, independence, and mobility
  • Collaborating with other team members to effectively plan and organize all recreational activity programs
  • Ensuring individual resident's needs, values, spiritual, and cultural preferences are taken into account when providing recreational care
  • Completing documented assessments which determine and clearly state capabilities, needs, and problems
  • Adhering to infection control and work health and safety standards

Required Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (desired)
  • A Senior First Aid Certificate (essential)
  • Prior experience in a similar role caring for the elderly within an aged care setting
  • Highly developed organizational and time management skills
  • An ability to solve problems independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A good understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes
