We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to lead our team at our Yellowknife retail store. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including team leadership, inventory management, customer service, sales and profitability, visual merchandising, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of dedicated retail professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and exceptional customer service.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track merchandise turnover, and manage stock ordering to ensure the store is well-stocked with popular products while minimizing overstock.
- Customer Service: Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer inquiries, issues, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Sales and Profitability: Set sales targets and goals, implement effective sales strategies, and monitor financial performance, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost control.
- Visual Merchandising: Oversee the presentation and layout of the store to optimize the shopping experience for customers.
- Compliance: Ensure the store adheres to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and compliance with local regulations.
Requirements
- Previous retail management experience, preferably as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and basic financial analysis.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Knowledge of the Yellowknife retail market is a plus.
