We are currently seeking a Contract Officer to join our team. This is a key role that requires initiative, excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Commercial Manager undertaking contract management, administrative and other support tasks associated with contracts managed by Regional Maintenance Centre West.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Assist with and advise on procurement planning, tendering and contract management ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedure;
  • Developing and issuing tenders, requests for quotation, contract change proposals and purchase orders;
  • Engaging in contract negotiations and implementing contract changes;
  • Liaise with supervisors, staff and stakeholders and respond to complex enquiries;
  • Build and sustain productive relationships with team members and actively participate in a team environment;
  • Assess and assist with the implementation of mitigation strategies for the risks associated with procurement and contracting activities, contract performance and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks;
  • Analyse and seek advice and assistance on complex procurement and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks;
  • Processing payment of invoices;
  • Conducting contract governance and reporting activities.

The role has specific responsibilities that may include any of the platforms systems and equipment maintained by the Regional Maintenance Provider.
