South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Yooralla Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team in the Southern region of Melbourne. As a Speech Pathologist, you will work with adults with a disability to provide best practice, evidence-based speech pathology services to achieve their goals and live the life they choose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapy in people's homes, educational settings, or in the community to support clients to achieve their goals
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address communication skills and/or mealtime safety and promote overall health and wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists to provide comprehensive support to clients
  • Provide indirect client service/family coordination to support client goals
About You

We are looking for an established and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage people with a disability, motivate them, and build their capability. You will have experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families.

You will share Yooralla's values and have a willingness to improve on your clinical practice, including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you're not familiar with. You will also have competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems, and good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary, including salary packaging, and generous paid leave entitlements for personal, caring, or parental purposes
  • Excellent formal and informal professional development opportunities, including opportunities to develop clinical, administration, and management/leadership skills
  • A supportive employer who understands the need for work/life balance and flexibility in the workplace
  • Administration and logistical support, including administrative staff and team leaders to assist with intake, NDIS coordination, and billing

We believe in diversity, inclusion, and equality and are committed to ensuring that our workplaces are a reflection of the Victorian community. We strongly encourage people with disability, LGBTQIA+, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to apply.
