As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our safety strategy, ensuring best practice safety outcomes for FCC, our partners, clients, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Strategy: Work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement a comprehensive safety strategy, aligned with FCC's business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Lead Health and Safety Function: Provide functional leadership for the health and safety function, ensuring effective management of health and safety risks and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Monitor and Report Performance: Monitor the performance and effectiveness of the health and safety function, providing regular reporting and recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and Implement Training Programs: Develop and implement training programs for health and safety professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide Guidance and Support: Provide professional guidance and support to health and safety professionals, ensuring they have the necessary resources and expertise to manage health and safety risks.
  • Collaborate with Operational Leaders: Collaborate with operational leaders to identify and implement opportunities for improvement in health and safety performance.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Safety, with a Cert IV in OHS as a minimum requirement.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of six years post-graduate work experience in safety, with experience in leading a team of safety professionals.
  • Dynamic and Result-Driven Approach: A dynamic and result-driven approach, with the ability to solve challenging problems and work to a fast pace.
  • ICAM Accreditation: ICAM accreditation or similar.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex safety information to stakeholders.
