Delivering high-quality pathology results requires a collaborative and diverse team of professionals. In this role, you will work alongside experienced scientists and technicians to achieve our goal of excellence in pathology services.

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our state-of-the-art facility at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Campus in Camperdown, Sydney. The laboratory is conveniently located near three train stations and multiple bus stops, with nearby access to cafes and entertainment facilities.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to diagnostic skills and ensure compliance with standards and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to work closely with administrative and medical staff, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance our services.

  • A Bachelor Degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent, with relevant pathology subjects
  • Knowledge and experience in pathology services, Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, Quality Control Systems, and computer programs like Microsoft Office
  • Strong customer-focused skills, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing abilities
  • The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent team player skills, with the ability to work autonomously and contribute to diagnostic skills
  • Initiative, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Understanding of legislation, policies, and safety requirements
  • CT(ASC) qualification with knowledge to screen and report cytology preparations
