About the Role

The Tennis Development Officer will play a key role in driving the growth and sustainability of tennis in the South Region of Queensland. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with affiliated clubs and stakeholders, providing support and assistance to increase participation and improve club operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of the Queensland Tennis Facilities Plan, specifically in relation to court upgrades, maintenance, and accessibility. They will also support the TQ Competitive Play team to identify opportunities for increased participation and competitive play across the region.

Additionally, the Tennis Development Officer will provide high-quality reporting and administrative support to the South Regional Assembly and Tennis Queensland. They will also lead First Nations projects and initiatives for the South-West region.

About You

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience or knowledge of sports administration, customer service, volunteering, coaching, officiating, or committee experience in club and community sport.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the tennis environment and the various stakeholders it engages. They will also possess problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, as well as a current driver's licence and first aid certificate.
