Project Coordinator - Mining and Resources

As a Project Coordinator in the Mining and Resources sector, you will be part of a global leader that values safety, inclusion, and innovative thinking.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced project coordinator to join our team at Rio Tinto's Perth office with occasional travel to the Pilbara region.

  • Manage a team of planners and cost analysts
  • Develop, maintain, update and report on schedules accurately
  • Ensure timely delivery of reports
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for change management
  • Analyze schedule and progress data to identify deviations from plan
  • Measure and analyze contractor schedules
  • Evaluate accommodation forecasting data and ensure it is accurately reflected in forecasts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating project timelines and ensuring they are met
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
  • Providing support to project managers in the development and implementation of project plans
  • Analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, project management or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
