About the Role

Central Coast Motor Group is a leading automotive dealership seeking skilled Automotive Technicians/Mechanics to join our team in Gosford and North Wyong, NSW.

As an Automotive Technician/Mechanic, you will be responsible for the diagnoses, servicing, and repair of vehicles, ensuring high-quality work while meeting Australian Industry Standards and Practice.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough motor vehicle diagnoses and fault finding in accordance with industry standards
  2. Identify mechanical issues, determine repair methods, and resolve problems efficiently
  3. Perform general servicing and maintenance tasks, adhering to company quality and cost-effectiveness expectations
  4. Maintain workshop tools and equipment, including hoists and wheel-balancing equipment
  5. Read and interpret fault reports, maintenance, and inspections forms
  6. Familiarise yourself with job cards and maintain accurate records as required
  7. Assist new and existing apprentices in furthering their skills and knowledge, providing guidance and supervision
  8. Regularly complete training to enhance professional knowledge and skills
  9. Adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety obligations in accordance with laws
  10. Road test vehicles to identify performance-related concerns and verify repairs
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Light or Heavy Engine Mechanics or equivalent (desirable)
  • Hold a Tradesperson license (desirable)
  • Master technician qualification will be highly regarded
  • Prior dealership or manufacturer-specific experience will be highly regarded
  • Valid NSW Class C driver's license - Manual and Automatic (desirable)

Remuneration
  • $60,000 - $75,000 a year (commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience)
