Job Description

This teaching position involves guiding students through philosophical inquiry, ethical reasoning, and critical thinking. The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging lessons that align with the VCE Philosophy Study Design for Units 1-4, focusing on areas such as epistemology, ethics, metaphysics, and philosophy of mind.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop students' skills in argument analysis, critical thinking, and ethical reasoning.
  • Provide detailed and constructive feedback to support student growth and exam readiness.
  • Incorporate a variety of teaching strategies, including discussion-based learning, debate, and independent research.
  • Cultivate a classroom culture where students feel confident to question, debate, and reflect.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Hold current VIT registration.
  • Have proven experience teaching VCE level Philosophy in Australia or New Zealand.
