Job Overview

We are seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to support our marketing and communications efforts.

This is an hourly role with superannuation benefits, offering a supportive and nurturing work culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery and evaluation of campaigns and projects to promote organisational goals and strategic plans.
  • Work across various digital systems and communication channels to deliver consistent messaging aligned to the overall brand and organisational values.
  • Monitor and update website and intranet content for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Produce fortnightly e-newsletters by liaising with staff, preparing articles, photography, and distribution.
  • Research and gather information for articles and media releases.
  • Write articles as required for the website.
  • Contribute to content planning and development for social media platforms and maintain social media calendars.
  • Prepare and upload social media posts that reflect approved strategies and maintain a consistent online presence.
  • Assist in scheduling and implementing photography shoots for the website and publications.
  • Take photos of school activities for social media and other purposes.
  • Assist in editing and proof-reading school publications and newsletters.
  • Adhere to editorial style guides and branding guidelines.
  • Contribute to maintaining well-catalogued photographic and video libraries for promotional purposes.
  • Assist in implementing marketing campaigns, including maintenance and preparation of eDM lists, collation of feedback, and campaign analytics.
Requirements
  • Must be able to work in Strathfield, Monday - Friday.
  • Previous experience in Communications, Content, or Marketing roles.
  • Experience with content management systems in delivering and maintaining websites and e-newsletters.
  • Experience and familiarity with the digital landscape, including social media.
  • Experience in writing and editing articles, media releases, and reports.
