About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at the Yarrow Place Rape and Sexual Assault Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive therapeutic support services to individuals who have experienced trauma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one therapeutic support and group work services to individuals of all genders, 16 years and over, who have been subjected to a rape or sexual assault.
  • Contribute to and support a range of research initiatives and projects, including the development of service goals and strategies.
  • Provide education and training programs to promote awareness and understanding of trauma and its impact.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
  • Ability to provide crisis and long-term counselling and group work services.
  • Experience working in crisis and trauma situations.
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of medical, legal, and counselling rights and options for victims of rape and sexual assault.
