Environmental Scientist Opportunity

Our client, a leading global engineering and advisory company, is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join their team in Neutral Bay. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse and high-performing ecology team, collaborating across Australia on major infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will have expertise in biodiversity assessments, environmental design, and offset strategies. They will also have experience in NSW, undertaking desktop and field-based terrestrial biodiversity assessments, and preparing reports to exceptional technical and editorial standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking desktop and field-based terrestrial biodiversity assessments
  • Providing advice for environmental designs, such as fauna connectivity structures
  • Preparing biodiversity offset strategies and undertaking biodiversity monitoring
  • Developing the skills of less senior staff
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Preparing reports to exceptional technical and editorial standards

Requirements include:

  • BAM accredited assessor
  • Experience in NSW undertaking biodiversity assessments
  • Expertise and confidence in the identification of NSW vegetation communities
  • A desire to grow, lead, and develop people
  • An appreciation of commercial risk management in the consulting industry
  • Current driver's license
