Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our Orthopaedic + Spine and Neurosurgical ward on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. AM, PM, and Night shifts are available across a 7-day rotating roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Patients: Provide emotional support and care to patients throughout their stay, ensuring their physical and psychological needs are met.
- Monitoring Patient Care: Monitor patients' condition using Telemetry and take necessary action to ensure patient safety.
- Liaising with the Multi-Disciplinary Team: Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless patient care.
- Patient and Staff Safety: Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Assisting Nursing Staff: Support nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care, including assisting with care of patients.
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from $36.74 to $39.78 per hour, plus superannuation. Additionally, you will enjoy subsidised meals and parking, as well as flexibility to work across one or multiple hospitals within our network.
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Enrolled Nurse in a hospital setting.
- Experience in a post-surgical ward is ideal but not mandatory.
- Current registration with AHPRA.
- Commitment to quality patient care.
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
