Medical Scrub Technician

At Healthscope, we are seeking a skilled Medical Scrub Technician to join our team at Gold Coast Private Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to provide high-quality care in our orthopaedic operating rooms.
About the RoleThis role involves working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, preparing and maintaining the operating room for surgery, and assisting the surgical team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist the surgical team by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
- Monitor and manage the sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infection.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal care during general, emergency, and orthopaedic trauma surgeries.
- Post-graduate study in Perioperative Nursing or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience as a Scrub Technician, preferably in general, emergency, and orthopaedic trauma surgeries.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
- A competitive salary package of approximately $90,000 - $110,000 per annum.
