Marine Technician

The Royal New Zealand Navy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marine Technician to join our team. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the ship's equipment and systems, ensuring the ship remains fully operational and ready to respond to different tasks.
You will have the opportunity to earn as you learn on board, sailing local and international waters, and sampling the foods, cultures and scenic attractions of coastal port towns.
As a Marine Technician, you will be part of a motivated, dedicated and highly professional team, working together to ensure the success of the Navy's operations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain the ship's equipment and systems
- Ensure the ship remains fully operational and ready to respond to different tasks
- Work with a team to ensure the success of the Navy's operations
- Participate in general shipboard duties and activities
- Be a minimum of 17 years of age upon entry
- Be free of any criminal convictions
- NCEA Level 2 certificate
- Meet the minimum entry fitness standards
- Colour perception requirements may apply
