About the Role

The successful candidate will be a skilled and experienced Heavy Plant Mechanic with a passion for delivering high-quality maintenance services to our fleet of vessels.

As part of our Asset Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our vessels, working closely with our Maintenance Supervisors to assess work orders and ensure the relevant equipment and parts are in stock.

You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including diesel engine rebuilds, overhauls, and servicing, as well as other mechanical repairs and maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines and other mechanical equipment
  • Assist with the assessment of work orders and ensure the relevant equipment and parts are in stock
  • Work closely with Maintenance Supervisors to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the maintenance team
  • Provide technical expertise and support to other team members as required
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and protocols
Requirements
  • Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Plant Mechanic
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine rebuild and maintenance processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
