As a seasoned tax leader, you will oversee the end-to-end tax strategy across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage corporate tax compliance, reporting, and governance to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop strategic initiatives to optimize the company's tax position and drive business growth through enhanced profitability.
  • Provide expert tax advice to senior leadership in this critical role, ensuring informed decision-making.

The successful candidate will provide guidance on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and international expansion. They will also collaborate with senior leadership and the board to identify and capitalize on tax planning opportunities.

A robust tax governance framework will be established under their leadership, with regular reviews and updates to ensure alignment with evolving tax laws and regulations.

They will manage tax audits and ATO reviews in coordination with advisors and tax authorities, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of any issues.

Alignment with internal controls, policies, and emerging tax legislation will be ensured by the candidate. In-house training on GST, FBT, withholding tax, and other key areas will be delivered to non-tax stakeholders to enhance their understanding and knowledge.

The candidate will mentor and manage the tax team to support their performance, development, and career growth, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within the organization.

Cross-functional collaboration and process improvements will be supported by the candidate, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, productivity, and employee engagement.
