Strategic Sales Cycle Support

The role of the Senior Industry Advisor involves providing strategic sales cycle support on relevant solutions for the financial services industry.
Responsibilities:
Industry Business Planning- Develop an industry business plan aligned with sales leadership in Australia and New Zealand and the industry business unit.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize opportunities.
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity.
- Presentation skills: Present at industry and customer conferences.
- Leadership development: Guide thought leadership development, practice development projects for key lines of business buying centers in the financial services industry.
- Account strategy: Guide the development of industry-relevant account strategies working with sales teams.
- Marketing collaboration: Collaborate and execute with marketing on events, social, and digital plans to develop leads leveraging new content, benchmarking, tools available.
- Customer relationships: Establish and nurture senior customer executive relationships to develop customer reference stories to showcase value metrics relevant to the industry.
- Community development: Establish industry communities for the purpose of enablement, best practice sharing, and creation of an effective network.
- Early-stage customer meetings: Oversee and lead early-stage customer executive meetings.
- Customer engagement: Oversee industry-relevant customer engagements to nurture opportunities.
- Customer deliverables: Work as part of one virtual account team to jointly develop and refine customer deliverables to incorporate industry relevance and SAP's differentiated value proposition.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Professional experience: 15+ years in sales/consulting/industry solutions in the financial services industry including minimum 4 years of software-related roles.
- Insurance industry experience: Additional experience in the insurance industry is an advantage.
- Technology experience: Experience in diverse technology landscapes and process/technology integration issues.
- SAP product experience: SAP product experience and/or prior relevant industry/solutions experience.
- English fluency: Fluency in English.
- Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required, MBA or equivalent degree preferred from accredited universities.
