Marine Education Role

We are seeking an experienced Marine Educator to deliver engaging and interactive educational programs for students and park guests. The successful candidate will facilitate educational initiatives, presentations, and guest interactions throughout the park, whilst undertaking associated administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate educational programs for visiting students and provide an educational learning experience for park guests while interacting with animals on display.
  • Perform educational/host roles in Animal Adventure programs such as Glass Bottom Boat tours, Polar Bear tours, and Ray Reef feeds.
  • Deliver engaging in-park presentations at animal exhibits to provide information on biology, welfare, and conservation of various species.
  • Assist in implementing and updating educational programs delivered in the park.
  • Respond to communication from students and members of the public on marine environment issues.
  • Guide snorkelling programs for park guests to ensure highest level of safety for guests and animals.
Requirements:
  • Teaching qualification preferred.
  • Recreational ship masters licence essential.
  • Knowledge of marine environment and conservation issues within the marine environment preferred.
  • Public speaking experience essential.
  • Senior First aid certificate required.
  • CPR and Oxygen provision required.
