About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our team at Open Universities Australia. As a Technical Lead, you'll play a key role in providing technical leadership and guidance to our software development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain our web-based systems within a collaborative team environment.
  • Work with the product development team to understand requirements and develop customer-centred solutions.
  • Contribute to the implementation of solutions using various programming languages, databases, and cloud technologies.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide feedback to ensure the highest quality of work.
Requirements
  • Advanced experience in software development using JavaScript (React.JS, Node.JS, TypeScript), C# or similar.
  • Advanced experience in web architecture patterns and conventions, including micro services, API design, contract testing, containerisation, test automation, and serverless architecture.
  • Advanced experience in modern software development techniques such as test-driven development, refactoring, deployment automation, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with cloud computing services (AWS) and associated technologies.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to think creatively through complex problems and discover the best path.
  • Strong ownership of problems and consultative approach to business partnering.
  • Able to adapt quickly and manage an environment of rapid change.
