Research Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team as a Research Associate in Plant Synthetic and Molecular Biology. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Ian Small and engage in collaborative research projects with P4S University colleagues and industry partners.
The research focus will be on building Synbio parts and tools for using plant chloroplasts as protein production factories. This will involve working on projects that aim to create innovative and translatable solutions to important biological challenges relevant to growing and utilizing plants in space and in vertical farming on earth.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in synthetic and/or molecular biology, research project management, and preparing manuscripts for publication. They will also have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant field
- Experience in synthetic and/or molecular biology
- Experience in research project management
