Job Summary: The Family Support and Inclusion Officer plays a pivotal role in fostering strong family relationships and creating inclusive environments for children. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood development and behaviour management.

About the Role:

This role involves working closely with families to support them through the orientation process, assisting with the settling of children into their learning environments, and providing guidance on managing behavioural concerns. You will be responsible for initiating difficult conversations with families, connecting them with community resources, and guiding them through government funding processes.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with families from diverse backgrounds. They will also possess a deep understanding of early childhood development and behaviour strategies, as well as knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting families through the orientation process
  • Assisting with the settling of children into their learning environments
  • Providing guidance on managing behavioural concerns
  • Initiating difficult conversations with families
  • Connecting families with community resources
  • Guiding families through government funding processes

Requirements:

  • Diploma in early childhood education & care or above
  • Current Level 2 First Aid, CPR Anaphylaxis, and Asthma training certificates
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check
  • Mandatory Reporting Training
  • Familiarity with early childhood development and behaviour strategies
  • Understanding of community resources and government funding processes
