Big Data Architect

As a Big Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing Advanced Analytics solutions using predominantly Google Cloud products. This includes building data pipelines, logging, and monitoring. You will work in multidisciplinary teams to create scalable and maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Data Pipelines: Build cloud-based data pipelines to solve business problems and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Architecture and Solution Design: Create, present, and seek inputs on architecture and solution designs to foster alignment and support.
  • Solution Validation: Apply relevant testing frameworks to ensure the robustness of solutions.
  • Solution Communication: Communicate analysis, insights, solution designs, and showcase working solutions.
Requirements:
  • Programming Skills: Proficient in Python, SQL, and Airflow or other orchestration tools.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with Google Cloud or other cloud technologies to build Data Engineering solutions.
  • Collaboration and Agile Setup: Growth mindset and ability to work together with the broader team in an Agile setup.
  • Data Modelling and Integration: Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques and engineering principles.
  • Version Control and CI/CD: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and CI/CD practices.
  • Data Governance and Security: Understand data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
