We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

About the role
  • Repair and service of heavy-duty road trucks and earth-moving equipment is a key responsibility.
  • Caterpillar component rebuilding experience is essential, including engines, transmissions, torque converters, and wheel ends.
  • Inspecting vehicles, identifying defects, and performing repairs is a crucial task.
  • Recording work completed, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies are essential duties.
  • Daily pre-start checks, safe operation, and maintenance of earth-moving machines, particularly CAT and Komatsu, are also required.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues, inputting data into the Maintenance Management system, and providing expert advice on mechanical maintenance are key responsibilities.
About you
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a mining environment is preferred.
  • Australian trade papers or recognition of heavy vehicle maintenance qualifications are essential.
  • Experience in maintaining large-scale machinery, such as 777 Dump Trucks, D10 Dozers, 16H Graders, and 100T+ Excavators, is highly valued.
  • Servicing a wide range of earth-moving equipment, including Caterpillar and Komatsu, is a requirement.
  • Ability to undertake and pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test, as well as obtain a current National Police Clearance, is necessary.
  • Possession of rights to work in Australia is essential.
