**Nursing Support Opportunity**

This role is ideal for students of Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy who wish to gain valuable experience and enhance their career.

About the Role:

The Disability Support Worker will be responsible for providing high-level personal care and assisting with daily living tasks. This includes using hoists, slings and performing two-person standing transfers, managing pressure care and maintaining documentation, supporting Allied Health home programs and assisting with transfers to commode chairs, personal care, showering and dressing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide domestic assistance and operate a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
  • Secure wheelchairs safely and communicate via task lists and communication books.
  • Support community access and attend allied health appointments.

Requirements:

  • Hold a clear and open drivers license and be a calm, confident driver.
  • Be well-presented, groomed and have a high level of common sense and decorum.
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence, intuition and professionalism.

Additional Information:

  • Must be available to work an overnight shifts up to 20 hours per week including inactive sleepover allowance paid.
  • Rostered Hours: Monday to Friday, Public holidays, Rotating roster, Weekend availability.

**Job Type**: Part-time
**Pay**: $31.46 - $67.20 per hour
**Expected hours**: No less than 15 per week
**Schedule**: Fixed shift, Monday to Friday, Public holidays, Rotating roster, Weekend availability
