Job Title: Head of Sport

Fit Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Head of Sport. This is a full-time, non-teaching position that requires strong leadership and strategic direction to drive the school's sports programs forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage sports operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality sporting programs across all year levels.
  • Mentor coaching staff and oversee student athletic development.
  • Foster strong community and external partnerships to enhance the school's sports reputation and student engagement.
Selection Criteria:
  • Leadership and Strategic Direction:
    • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a school sports program or high-performance program.
    • Ability to develop and implement a strategic vision that aligns with the school's overall objectives.
  • High Performance Accreditation and Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in high-performance sports programs.
    • Relevant accreditation and ability to apply best practices in coaching, player development, and program management.
  • Advanced Communication and Relationship-Building Skills:
    • Highly developed communication and liaison skills to effectively engage and negotiate with students, parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Mentorship and Coaching Development:
    • Proven ability to mentor and develop coaching staff.
    • Focus on research and implementation of current trends in coaching, player development, and industry best practices.
  • Community Engagement and Program Promotion:
    • Experience in promoting and marketing sports programs within the school's broader catchment area.
    • Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with state and national sports bodies, clubs, and other key partners.
  • Technical Proficiency and Administrative Expertise:
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, One Note, Microsoft Teams, and other school-related software systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to establish, update, and maintain effective administrative systems with high attention to detail.
