About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team in Newcastle. As a Home Care Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

About You:

  • You have 6 months or more experience as a support or care worker, including personal care skills.
  • You are passionate about assisting older members of our community and making a difference in their lives.
  • You hold a current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, with travel being a part of the role.
  • You possess excellent problem-solving skills and are comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and beautiful living environment for our clients.
  2. Assisting with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our clients' nutritional needs are met.
  3. Offering social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our clients stay connected and engaged.
  4. Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, and administering medication, while also supporting mobility and therapy goals.
  5. Offering respite and emotional support, providing a listening ear and a comforting presence when needed.
  6. Social support and transport to appointments, ensuring our clients receive the care they need in a timely manner.

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000 - $70,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure includes award rate $ per hour, superannuation, paid KM's, and phone allowance, providing a competitive remuneration package for a rewarding career in home care.
