As a Field Service Engineer, you will support the Voith Group in providing technical expertise to field sites. Your tasks will include:

  • Providing technical support and advice to field sites, preparing and maintaining work packages, technical procedures, control sheets, methods, and documentation for installation teams.
  • Anticipating risks and chances, and raising them to the Project Team. Maintaining the Field Service time schedule and coordinating dates with the Project Team and customer.
  • Preparing specifications, technical procedures, and work descriptions for installation subcontractors and evaluating installation bids/offers.
  • Facilitating clarifications with the customer.
  • Participating in design review meetings and ensuring field-related design considerations.
  • Ensuring the availability of HSE, quality plans, and documents.
  • Developing and ensuring the availability of project-specific procedures and safety assessments.
  • Determining site layouts, tooling/fixtures, and site infrastructure requirements.
  • Monitoring target achievement regarding quality, schedule, costs, and supporting corrective actions.
  • Facilitating the identification and allocation of required internal and external resources.
  • Coordinating and teamwork between site and back-office.

Your Profile

  • University diploma in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience and technical understanding of Turbines, Generators, and balance of plant equipment. Project management, sub-supplier handling, and scheduling experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Fully computer literate in MS Office suite, as well as SAP and Primavera P6 knowledge.
  • Competencies in AutoCad, Solid edge software, or equivalent are desirable.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills in English; due to the international team setup, additional languages are beneficial.
  • Team player with strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Willingness to stay in Australia for the project execution time (approx. 4-5 years).
